SlothMate plays and organizes the sources and files you are legally authorized to use: Live TV with a guide, movies and series, MultiView, favorites per preset, Family Guard, and My Media for the files already on your drives.

Live TV and the guide
Provider categories on the left, channels in the middle, and a muted preview on the right. Watch fullscreen for sound and up/down channel zapping. The Guide reads your provider's quick schedule, or a full XMLTV guide you point it at.
Catalogs load lazily and stay smooth with very large libraries. Progress resumes, Continue Watching keeps its own rail, and an Up Next card offers the next episode as one ends.
Choose a folder or drive. SlothMate catalogs videos, series folders, music, and photos on your Mac without copying or uploading anything, and plays them alongside your other sources, including in MultiView, where local files use no provider connection.
Every preset keeps its own favorites. Custom categories group channels your way, and presets scope every screen to what a person should see. Shift-click selects a whole range of channels so you can act on the batch at once.
Two screens on the free plan, up to five with Plus. Provider screens need an Xtream source that reports at least two simultaneous connections (M3U playlists keep provider streams to one), and My Media tiles never use a provider connection. One shared volume, independent mute per screen, and Solo to hear just one.
Opt in with a parent PIN. Lock channels, titles, or whole categories, unlock one item temporarily, pause protection for a session from the top bar, and hand a child a simplified Kids Mode preset. Masking locked items is a Plus tool, and Kids Mode always honors it.
SlothMate is software on your Mac, not a service between you and your sources.
Local metadataFavorites, categories, presets, Family Guard rules, and history are stored on your Mac, per source profile.
Keychain credentialsProvider passwords, playlist links, and guide links live in the macOS Keychain. The parent PIN is kept only as a salted one-way digest.
Direct connectionsThe app talks to the addresses you configured, the stream, artwork, and guide addresses those sources reference, and Apple's App Store for Plus purchases. There is no SlothMate server in between.
No tracking or adsNo third-party analytics, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking, in the app or on this website. The only third-party component in the app is the open-source VLCKit playback engine, running locally.
SandboxedSlothMate runs in the macOS App Sandbox and reaches your files only through the folders and files you pick in the native file picker.
SlothMate Plus: more room to organize, nothing to watch included.
SlothMate Plus unlocks SlothMate tools and capacity only. It includes no media and no provider service. Every option unlocks the same feature set, and Apple shows the prices in the app.

Plans run for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months, or Lifetime, bought through Apple in the app. Purchases belong to your Apple Account, and anything past a free limit is kept, never deleted, if Plus ends.
